Ajax TOCCO has developed Recipe Builder induction heating optimization software that provides superior control of the billet, bar, and tube heating processes. This advanced software facilitates complete calculation and simulation of the induction heating process. The end results are many times more accurate than optical pyrometry technology which can be affected by smoke, scale, and emissivity. The optical pyrometer is then simply used as a go / no-go device to further ensure the end temperature that has been achieved. This powerful tool takes the guesswork out of the Induction Heater setup and saves time and waste. The precise control provided by Recipe Builder provides precise control for the Ajax TOCCO PowerForge and PowerZone advanced technology induction heating systems. Results are automatically entered into the machine controls after operator billet data entry.
